Have you read the papers?

“Have you read the papers, do you hear what they say?”

That’s the first line of Cobhams Asuquo’s single title “I still choose to worship You”.

This song has been in my head for some days now. I’ve been singing it in bits, until I couldn’t put I off any longer. Now I’m watching Cobhams Asuquo on Shazam as he renders this worship song that is truly “not your normal worship song”.

The lyrics are not your normal worship lyrics, neither is the sound. Especially in this video, where Cobhams’ raspy voice (here in this video) underscores the emotional pain of the series of bad news in the first verse.

Now what is there to learn? God is God anyway. So still choose to worship Him, in spite of all that is not ‘seemingly okay’…especially when all seems not okay. When all else may be topsy-turvy and it looks like help is nowhere in sight, there’s always something to do, and that is to lose your ‘self’ in worship and find yourself in God.

Lift up your voice…release the sweet-smelling savour of worship…and bless the Lord…for the gift of His Son and the grace to fight the battles you may be facing.

Bless ye the Lord…

One love.

Ready or not?

See, I’m not going to stop talking about Christ and the glorious life He’s given us. Neither will I shy away from talking about the rapture. Jesus is coming soon. There’s no two ways about that, no trying to ignore the fact that stares us in the face. It’s there in the Scriptures, it’s there in the prophecies that have come to pass, wars and rumours of war, brother against brother, etc. An in-depth study of God’s Word will tell you more, so go study your Bible. 🙂

Should you be worried about the rapture? No, not if Jesus is your very personal Lord and Saviour. All things worketh together for them that love God and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28) As long as we’re conscious of His love and abiding grace and His Spirit that strengthens us to do the right thing in spite of opposing forces…He’s more than able to perfect that which concerns us.

Talk to Jesus. He’s your Friend, your Confidant. He’s given us the Holy Spirit to be with us every step of this journey on earth, so you can never be disadvantaged or be at a loss concerning the direction for your life. If as you’re reading this, you’ve not yet invited Jesus to be Lord and Saviour over your life, do it now. He loved you enough to die for you, and He loves you enough to want you to be raptured in these last times.

You can say this prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I thank you for the precious gift of your life for my salvation. I ask that you come into my life and take control, that I may be a witness unto you in my thoughts, words and actions. I declare that I’m born again, saved from sin and I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus. I receive the ministry of the Holy Spirit upon my life in Jesus Name, Amen.

Yay! You’re born again, free from destruction and death. Feed that hunger for God’s Word in your spirit by studying the Bible and belonging to a local assembly of Christians where you can grow in the Word. God bless you. 🙂

My day didn’t really go as planned. I was supposed to go for a friend’s birthday party, and I ended up going for a service of songs. No, my friend did not die. I went with my aunt some place else, and the service of songs was our last stop. The deceased was a member of her church. He was just 54. I didn’t know him, but I still felt for the family, especially the wife and kids.

I got to thinking about life. A man lives, then dies. But it’s not the end, just a transition to eternal bliss in Christ. This is only if Jesus Christ was Lord over the man’s life while he was still on earth. While his family is sorrowful and in tears, he’s experiencing pure bliss and greater glory in the presence of God.

One lesson I took from it all: Live each day in gratitude. Thank God for your vision and for His perfect will that makes everything beautiful in His time.

I’m still quiet about a lot of things, so I’m not saying much now.

Peace…one luv.

G is for… (tell me what it’s for when you comment :) )

I’ve been looking at this screen for quite sometime now, wondering what exactly to write. I finally put finger to keypad, I type, then erase, type again, and erase…again. So I decide to let you all know how I feel.

So how do I feel? Anybody wanna take a wild guess? Hungry? Yes, a bit, but at this time, I no fit chop o, don’t wanna put on weight, so I’m just gonna have to wait till morning. Tired? No, not in the least bit. Sleepy? For where! My eye jus dey shine! 🙂

It’s more than a feeling though, it’s a reality, or state of mind.
I’m thankful,
joyously grateful to God for such a beautiful life,
For the Holy Spirit who’s my personal life trainer…I’m extra-grateful…
for the truth of His Word by which I live my life,
for the wonderful friends He’s brought in my life and who’ve agreed to stay, for the family who’ve stood by me every step of the way,
For my experiences and testimonies,
For the joy and the grace, for the strength to run the race.

I’m grateful…for the world we live in…the air, the food, the water, the trees
The inventors who’ve made life easier and much more fun…
Grateful for things like fashion, and cars, and phones, and the internet
…Grateful for sight, hearing, strong legs…grateful for health, divine, disease-free health.

In everything give thanks, so says God’s Word. I just did…what about you?

And of course, to the one reading this blog, I’m grateful for YOU! *hugs*

One love y’all!

It’s my life!!!

Sometimes being a good girl is not always good…
People tend to think they can tell you what to do…
And how to do what to do…
And when to do what to do…
Anger fuels every keystroke in this poem…

Do you think I don’t have a right to be angry?
Abi na because you see me here?

I have my life to live.
You have yours.
Don’t try to live mine.

Sometimes it all seems so hypocritical
I’m nobody’s fool
Open your eyes
see me for who I am

I’ve found my voice
I’m living my life.

I ain’t no sacrificial lamb.
I ain’t your toy or doll.
I have a vision,
I have dreams.

I don’t need to ask your permission to live my dreams.
Say I dey respect you no mean say you go carry me play…wetin sef?!

Have you ever been in a situation where it seems you’re the only one doing what you’re doing and believing in what you are believing, and everyone is questioning your actions, making you almost doubt yourself?

Well, be rest assured, you’re not alone. Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Henry Ford, Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Bishop Oyedepo, the Late Bishop Idahosa, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor David Ibeyiomie, Wole Soyinka, the Late Gani Fawehinmi, Fela and Tara Durotoye, and all the successful people that you know, they all felt that same way at one point or the other in their lives, and look where they are and what they’ve accomplished.

Like I always say, there was a time everyone thought the earth was flat, even up to the extent Galileo was killed for allegedly being a heretic. Why? He KNEW it was round. Now he’s been proved right, time and time again.

So it matters what you know, what you believe. Let’s face it, in the end, on Judgement day, that’s all that matters.

It won’t matter that you married from your tribe or not, it won’t matter that you studied Engineering or Law like your father asked you to, it won’t matter that you took that Chieftaincy title, it won’t matter that you went to Havard, nor will it matter that you’re the most trending person on earth; all that will matter is what you believe in and what you did with your life as regards that belief.

So, my dear, highly esteemed readers…it does matter what you know…as long as you know the TRUTH about life and walk in it, everything contrary that anyone says to you is just noise.
